In the last decade I've carried with me a notepad and a camera, capturing and conveying my experiences as a journalist and human being.
Born in 1974 in Hong Kong, as a child I yearned to see the world. I left for boarding school in England and went on to read philosophy and political sciences at Cambridge. Reuters took me as a correspondent in Beijing, giving me an entry into journalism.
While reporting, I became fascinated by photography. I taught myself and soon left the wire service to produce in-depth reportage. In 2002 the World Press Photo selected me for their Masterclass, inspiring me to push my work harder. Some of my stories are self-initiated, others are commissioned. Having spent the previous seven years in Amsterdam, in 2006 I moved to Moscow to start a new chapter.

The project was shown at FOAM in Amsterdam.
